Make Money Without Money

To make money without money you will need to spend something and that something is time. If you have time and are not working a job or not caught up in some other project you will be able to make money without money. The key is focus you must focus!

It’s not easy to focus if your mind is off on a tangent thinking about 50 other things. Therefore, be sure to cut off all distractions and settle down to the task at hand.

If you’re new to making money online then you have much to learn so the first focus needs to be study. Then implement what you learn don’t put off doing what you learn. This is a common mistake newbies make which is learning and not doing.

Many veteran marketers believe it’s laziness when newbies don’t do anything, but I don’t think so, I think it’s FEAR! I still have fear of doing something techie or whatever, because I know if I do one wrong click I can wipe out an entire blog.

This is true, I did it, one wrong click and I lost all my hard work. However, I’m still here some 9 months later I lived through it and since created several other blogs.

The deal is you have to do it afraid and suffer the consequences of dumb mistakes or you will never make money without money. It’s all part of the make money online pursuit. So, if you’re scared it’s normal, but don’t allow it to stop you.

To make money without money takes longer and is harder simply because you cannot afford to pay for mentors, ebooks and other tools that help you make money online.

Take heart, there is the 30 Day Challenge that started their preseason yesterday and is FREE help for newbies who want to learn internet marketing. In my opinion it’s better than many of the programs online that you have to pay for.

After you start making money it’s wise to find a good mentor and to keep learning from them so as to save time and cut through the learning curve.

Which is exactly what I did and still do. I plan to follow the 30 Day Challenge to pick up new ideas or to revamp on basics. I’m also a member of the Niche Blogger membership site and continue to learn there from Amy Bass my daily mentor.

If you want to make money niche blogging there’s a free 3 day trial available just click here for details or you can get a free report by clicking on the green button to the right.

Make Blogs- Blog Beginner

There is so much to learn about blogging and making money online. So where does a blog beginner begin? For me it’s been fun and sometimes not so fun, just depends on the day. You never know what the day will bring, but I can assure you of one thing if I can make blogs so can you.

When I first began I was scared to death to make blogs. So, I opted to have someone set one up for me. It was a Wordpress blog and they did a manual installation which I still can’t do. I use fantastico since it’s much easier, you pretty much just press a button and even a blog beginner can do that.

For the complete blog beginner who has never blogged there’s a lot to learn and steps to take that should go in some sort of order if you plan to make money online. If you get in a hurry you will make unwise choices that you’ll be sorry for later on.

The first thing you want to do is decide your reason/motive. There are a number of reasons why people make blogs such as: socializing, make money, share information, business, news, education, and religion to name a few. What is your reason?

As a blog beginner I did it for fun and as a challenge back in July 2008. You see I’m totally techie dumb so for me doing anything online was and is a major victory. Somewhere along the line I added the make money thing and that took the challenge part to a whole new level. It’s kind of like an adventure now.

You can have an adventure too. Are you a person who likes a challenge and has an adventurous spirit? Then blogging is for you. I’m currently learning to hone these skills I gained with Amy Bass of the Niche Blogger. She guides me step by step like a coach and she will guide you too if you’re ready make blogs. A blog beginner has to begin somewhere. And you can start free with this 3 day free trial:

Using Keywords

Using keywords is something all web writers do or should do. If you don’t know how then you need to learn how. At least get the basics down and go from there. The goal is to write content that satisfies both people and robots or search engines.

There has to be a balance and it isn’t easy. Using keywords in content is a must and readers are equally as important. While many think that content is just the words on the page there are other factors such as titles, headers, tags and in and out going links.

Titles are very important the keywords need to be in the title. Also, in the first paragraph and preferably the first sentence. Other keywords relevant to the topic need to be in the body of the article as well. It’s called LSI or latent semantic indexing.

Additionally, use keywords in the ending paragraph and keep it short. Don’t dilute your SEO content use LSI words and phrases instead.

Use only one topic per page don’t confuse the bots. People may get it, but bots are not human, they’re machines. If you have google ads then you really need to stay on topic.

Using different topics on one page also affects ranking for your keywords. When using keywords stay focused and don’t go off on a tangent. Read it out loud if need be.

Writing for search engines and people at the same time can be tricky and challenging. It is also time consuming, since there’s so much research involved. It’s not writing the article that’s hard it’s finding the keywords. Once you have them you’re off and running.

It takes time to learn how to write well SEO’d content. Write and write some more! Practice along with testing is what will get you where you want to be.

A mentor helps as well as other marketers or web writers to give you feedback. Get constructive criticism, especially from those who have been there and done that.

Find a membership site with a forum of people who are willing to help. If you want to make money blogging the Niche Blogger mentoring site is a great place to start.

Articles for Income

Articles for income are articles that you write for sites such as eHow, Infobarrel, Xomba, Hubpages and others. These sites are considered to be residual income that continues to build over time. I will stick mostly to the ones I have personal experience with or have heard from a good reliable source the information.

I used to write tons of articles for Ezine Articles you cannot write articles for income there. You use EZA to promote a product or site, which is what I did for several months. This is because they have a high page rank and are the king of article directories.

Anyway, back to articles for income. Ehow was and still can be a good place to make money if you know SEO and crank out at least an article or two a day. However, they do not care about their writers and delete articles right and left. Also, many times they do not let you know, so it is wise to back up every article you write.

At eHow you are paid by paypal once a month and they do not tell how the pay in based. So, this means you write by faith in hopes to make something off of your articles.

Infobarrel is a newer site where you can use articles for income and like eHow you get income by people clicking on your ads. The difference is that you get paid by Google using your own adsense publisher ID. Google does not payout until you reach $100, so it will be a while before you get your hands on money.

Xomba is similar to Infobarrel in that you get paid by Google. Once again this is from ad clicks. Therefore, SEO is very important or you will not have relevant ads.

In addition, at Infobarrel and Xomba you can earn a referral fee and if you’re good at promoting or create a blog to get referrals then you can make extra money this way.

I have not written articles for income on Hubpages, but I do know that you make money by Adsense, Kontera, Ebay and other affiliate programs. You are paid separately by each affiliate program you sign up for. However, you need to be careful and not over promote.

All of these sites do pay, but it’s up to you to write well written content and plenty of it. I will say it again learn SEO!! Or you will not make the money you’re shooting for.

Some other sites where you can write articles for income are Associated Content, Suite 101, Bukisa, Constant Content, Helium, Triond and Textbroker. There are more, but these are the most popular. It is wise to read reviews and be well informed.

You will need to write hundreds of articles for income to make good money online. Do not put all of your eggs in one basket, but instead diversify. Write for at least 3 sites.

Also, consider niche blogging it’s a great way to make residual income and you are in control of the site/blog. For more info on this check out the Niche Blogger.

Earn Money Writing

You can earn money writing online, however, it may take time to do it. Writing articles is one of the quickest ways to make money online. Of, course you do need to write fairly well, know basic SEO and have some good connections. It also helps to know English as your first language or know it well enough to write as if it is.

Some of the most popular places to earn money writing are Associated Content, Ehow, Bukisa, Helium and Xomba. There are more, but these will be a good start. Each one of them are different, therefore, it’s best you check them out for yourself.

Another way is to sign up at Elance as a freelance writer and make bids for jobs. This option I don’t like much, so I tend to use article sites like the ones listed above.

Forums are another way to get work writing online. There are bloggers and site owners who are either tired of writing their own content or aren’t good writers. Just let them know you’re looking for work and they may even put you to work right away.

If you plan to earn money writing online you will need to have samples of your work ready just in case someone asks for them. In addition, it’s a good idea to have a paypal account since this is one of primary ways writers get paid on the web.

Then of course you can set up a blog and write for yourself as well as for others. Doing both is a great way to build blog authority and earn money writing at the same time.

If you need mentoring you can join the 30 Day Challenge to learn basics of internet marketing. The 30DC is free and a great place for newbies to start.

Whitehat Backlinks

Whitehat backlinks are considered legit techniques that follow Google guidelines. A backlink is an incoming link created on another site that leads back to your site. Backlinks are necessary to gain rank on your site or blog, so that it will hopefully grab the attention of the search engines. It can be time consuming, but worth the effort.

A variety of quality whitehat backlinks is necessary, so that it will look natural. Otherwise, Google may penalize or sandbox you. This means your site will disappear for a while, however, it usually comes back no worse for the wear.

Many newbies panic when their blog is on the first page of Google and it mysteriously disappears. Where did it go? Only Google knows and only Google will bring it back.

Getting spanked by Google is part of internet marketing, so you may as well get over it. There is nothing you can do, but try to stay within guidelines best as you can.

Blackhat methods will get your site, or multiple sites, banned for good. Of course, all black hatters know this and don’t care. They create multiple accounts, change names, have several computers etc. They are into making money fast and that’s it.

So much for the blackhatters let’s get on with getting legit whitehat backlinks. Some of these are considered gray hat by some you be the judge and do what feels right to you.

Article marketing is a great way to get quality backlinks. Some of the top sites to use are Ezine articles, Articlebase, Buzzle, eHow and Goarticles for starters.

Forums are another great way to get whitehat backlinks just be sure that you stay relevant and use keywords in the links or you’re wasting time. This is a one really good reason to have keywords in the domain name of your site/blog.

Yahoo answers is good, but you must be careful or you will get banned. Use them once in a while and give good answers. Also watch out for competitors if they see your link often they will report you just to get you out of their way.

Submit links to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Twitter, Yahoo Buzz, Mixx and Propeller. Also, create blogs or pages on Blogger, Squidoo, Hubpages and Wordpress and link them to your site. Once again, stay relevant don’t link to non-relevant sites.

Do link exchanges with site/blogs that have a higher rank than yours. If you can’t do this then leave comments with a link to your blog and again stay relevant.

Always write good quality content that is well SEO’d. If you don’t understand search engine optimization then learn it NOW! You must understand keywords and backlinking.

If you use whitehat backlink techniques you will stay safe and not get banned by Google. On the other hand, if you decide to go blackhat then be prepared to get shut down.

Make Blogs- Themes for Blog

Choosing themes for blog can be time consuming, however, it is necessary if you want your blog to fit into the topic you have in mind. In addition, you need to consider features, navigation and theme development.

Make sure you have a category picked out like health, travel, beach, personal, make money, environment, real estate, hi-tech, outdoors, school, and Christian. This is just a few examples to give you an idea of what’s available.

Take time to view blogs that are relevant to your topic this gives insight into blog templates you should consider. The themes for blog you choose can be very important and will make a difference on how well your blog is received by others.

One of the first features I look for is the column, I like three column themes. You can get one, two, three or four columns the two and three column themes are used more so there’s more variety in these.

The placement of sidebars in blog themes is another choice you need to make. One choice is two sidebars on the right this is the most popular. Then there’s one on the left and one on the right with content in the middle. Lastly, sidebars on the left.

Some other features you want to look for are widgets, is it widget ready? Then there’s search engine optimization, plugin compatibility, and graphics. As you can see looking at themes for blog will take thoughtful consideration.

Finally, if you’re lost and don’t know where to begin and need help you should consider a coach. It’s not as expensive as you think and they actually pay for themselves since they show you how to make money blogging.

Amy Bass is a blogging coach, housewife and mother of 4 who just paid off $72,000 in debt by blogging. She can show you how she did it and you can do it too.

Make Blogs- Blog Info

When you make a blog there’s a lot of blog info you need to know before you begin. I didn’t know this when I started so I made a lot of mistakes. The first mistake I made is that I didn’t have anyone to show or tell me step by step what to do. As I mentioned before there is an order to follow, a plan if you will.

Some of the mistakes I made like choice of domain name were things I got stuck with for at least a year. I did some research, but I didn’t know what to look for or the questions to ask. All the blog info I found wasn’t in any order, consequently, I wasted a lot of time.

A spent my time in forums and reading information blogs trying to find answers. And that worked to a certain degree only not like it could have if I would have had a coach or mentor. All the while I kept posting and writing articles without a clue as to what or why I was doing it. I suppose I did get writing experience which is good and I managed to not quit and I’m no worse for the wear.

No matter how much blog info you read whether its on a blog or anywhere if you don’t know what to do with it then it’s not much good to you. I found this out when I joined Wealthy Affiliate as they had a lot of info, but I didn’t know what to do with it or how to use it. As a result, my time there wasn’t beneficial.

While I was in Wealthy Affiliate I came upon the 30 Day Challenge and decided to join it as well. And it was much more on my level of understanding, but since I was still trying to grasp WA I didn’t have as much time for it as I would have liked.

However, the 30DC blog info on Wordpress Direct didn’t work out as well as many of us wanted it to or as they taught it. WPD had and still has bugs which makes it difficult to work with and it’s a bit pricey as well. Therefore, I decided to not use it and opted for Wordpress.org instead as it turned out I made the right choice.

In case you don’t know the difference in WP.com, WP.org, and WPD I’ll give you a quick breakdown. WP.com supplies your domain and hosting so you have no control over your blog. WP.org you pay for your own domain and hosting and have total control. WPD allows 3 free sites and to upgrade it will cost $37 for bronze, $97silver, and $127 for gold.

Additionally, WPD is set up with plugins and auto content which sounds good at first until the problems start. The content is scraped from the internet so it’s not original and the bugs make it next to impossible for newbies to deal with.

At this point I’m grateful to be with the Niche Blogger so I can get step by step instruction and set up my blogs correctly. Until I joined NB I couldn’t do it myself. If you want to make blogs and make money online sign up for the NB free trial here:

Effective Websites/Blogs

Effective websites are ones that do what you have designed them to do. If it’s not doing what you want it to then it’s not effective. Blogs are the same way, after all, a blog is a website. Many times it’s traffic or the lack of, but there are other reasons why a site isn’t effective. Let’s see if we can pinpoint some areas that need a little tlc.

First of all, is your niche focused or are you all over the place? Is it a lucrative niche and did you do the proper research beforehand? Meaning from the beginning did you research before you bought the domain name? Proper research is a huge factor!

To have an effective website either you or the web designer needs at least basic knowledge of SEO. If not then you can throw it out with the bath water! The content must be on target and well SEO written material, staying focused on keywords.

Do you have good information that people need or want? If you have a blog are you posting at least once a week? Are you pursuing back links? If not why not?

For an website to be effective it needs to have easy navigation as well as a good layout. Additionally, if it takes too long to load or has flashing pop ups and noise people will hit the back button asap! Most people are in a hurry and won’t tolerate hang ups.

Promotion is a major issue, which I go into detail in my promote your website post. So, I’m not going to elaborate on it here, just know, no promotion, no effective websites!

It’s also a good idea to seek opinions from other marketers. The Warrior forum is a great place to have your site critiqued, so that you will get opinions from others who know what to look for. Your friends or family may be clueless in this area.

Effective websites/blogs take time and work. Not to mention, things change fast on the web, so what was effective 6 months ago may not be effective today!

Stay on top of technology and continue to educate yourself on an on going basis. Don’t be a slacker or your site will not be effective, but instead will be lost in cyberspace.

For us to keep up with what to do and how to do it we may need help. A mentor is a great way to do it click here for a free 3 day offer at the Niche Blogger membership site.
