When you make a blog there’s a lot of blog info you need to know before you begin. I didn’t know this when I started so I made a lot of mistakes. The first mistake I made is that I didn’t have anyone to show or tell me step by step what to do. As I mentioned before there is an order to follow, a plan if you will.

Some of the mistakes I made like choice of domain name were things I got stuck with for at least a year. I did some research, but I didn’t know what to look for or the questions to ask. All the blog info I found wasn’t in any order, consequently, I wasted a lot of time.

A spent my time in forums and reading information blogs trying to find answers. And that worked to a certain degree only not like it could have if I would have had a coach or mentor. All the while I kept posting and writing articles without a clue as to what or why I was doing it. I suppose I did get writing experience which is good and I managed to not quit and I’m no worse for the wear.

No matter how much blog info you read whether its on a blog or anywhere if you don’t know what to do with it then it’s not much good to you. I found this out when I joined Wealthy Affiliate as they had a lot of info, but I didn’t know what to do with it or how to use it. As a result, my time there wasn’t beneficial.

While I was in Wealthy Affiliate I came upon the 30 Day Challenge and decided to join it as well. And it was much more on my level of understanding, but since I was still trying to grasp WA I didn’t have as much time for it as I would have liked.

However, the 30DC blog info on Wordpress Direct didn’t work out as well as many of us wanted it to or as they taught it. WPD had and still has bugs which makes it difficult to work with and it’s a bit pricey as well. Therefore, I decided to not use it and opted for Wordpress.org instead as it turned out I made the right choice.

In case you don’t know the difference in WP.com, WP.org, and WPD I’ll give you a quick breakdown. WP.com supplies your domain and hosting so you have no control over your blog. WP.org you pay for your own domain and hosting and have total control. WPD allows 3 free sites and to upgrade it will cost $37 for bronze, $97silver, and $127 for gold.

Additionally, WPD is set up with plugins and auto content which sounds good at first until the problems start. The content is scraped from the internet so it’s not original and the bugs make it next to impossible for newbies to deal with.

At this point I’m grateful to be with the Niche Blogger so I can get step by step instruction and set up my blogs correctly. Until I joined NB I couldn’t do it myself. If you want to make blogs and make money online sign up for the NB free trial here:
